The violence in the contemporary society
Deprivation, greed, insecurity and inequality, frustration and restriction, madness are overwhelmings of emotion that have built up and need to be vented, are the main roots of violence. And they are all interlinked. It is like being stuck in a box that is slowly being bound up in your inside and you need to break out. Sometimes violence can be a revolutionary pure righteousness against injustice and sometimes it can be an oppressive abuse of power. if we live in a violent world? yes, its either subversive or openly blatant; everyone can be malevolent and wish harm on others. It happens everywhere and it is such a shame but usually others intimidate and impress upon those that they see as being as weaker. The need to thrive is indicative of all living creatures so it is an evolutionary instinct that has deep roots in our psyche... violence has such guttural effect because it goes back right back into our history where confict has meant death, injury, starvation or loss of a mate.Violence is a corner stone of our first human feeling before our brain had developed more complicated communication skills... it was first fought with fists now we fight with words and threats. It all leads back to those who choose to stand out of the crowd, sometimes it can be good, sometimes it can be bad. Violence reflects those who want to live outside of society too, those who don't want to conform. When this happens there is conflict between those who oppress and those who rebel, but then there is a dark side to that battle, there are those who do not want freedom to be free but to inflict 'anti social' behaviour on other such as robbing them, so,it is a double edged sword; anarchy has a point. We should all be allowed to make our own decisions but then I know it wouldn't work because there is always the criminal element that would cause suffering and without a law to punish then there would be a loss of justice. Elements as Tv., mass media and internet promote the violence because it is useful to express the power some things have upon others, and the violence is equal to win and to progress in the society, weakers are unable to survive. Perhaps, again you should have the liberal right to look at whatever.
How can I create that world that John Lennon describes in his song "Imagine"? It is quite difficult but, treating the causes of injustice and frustration is a fantastic way to start; education is a treasure we cannot waste, teaching people that violence is not the answer because diplomacy and decency have more integrity and honour, but these are meanings everyone has to know and realise the advantages of practicing them, that everybody needs to get useful, because otherwise, another world is going to be difficult to build.
